Sample answer

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in a small village surrounded by rice fields. When I was little, I used to play outside all day with my cousins. We would climb trees, swim in the pond and only come home when it got dark. Looking back, I realise how carefree those days were compared to how busy my life is now.
Notice how the answer gives a reason and an example instead of a one-word reply.
